My work:
What do you feel is the most successful element of the work?
I feel that the most successful element is the light on the floor. It is the focal point of my work. I chose the picture because of how the light contrasts with the dark on to the left and slowly darkens to the right.
What do you feel could be improved or changed about the work?
I feel that I could improve how much time I take on working on my piece. I did not make enough time for myself to make the picture any better than when I originally took it. For the next project, I should get pictures available on the day everyone works on the project.
What drew you to the subject of the work?
I wanted to use a picture with a shadow. The picture I used had the best shadow. I happen to like how the light slowly gets darker until it is black.

1st choice:
I feel that the flower with the black in the middle of it is the most successful element. The white of the flower is the brightest color in the work. It shines the most in the picture and caught my eye. I can't see the background because its blurry. I can easily see the flower.
I think the background is a little too blurry. I would like to be able to see it clearer. If you can only see the flower clearly, I feel that there is not much depth to the picture.
I like pictures of nature. The flower in nature drew me in. I can take good pictures of nature so I feel that the artist and I have a connection.

2nd choice:
I feel that the shadow gives more life to the bridge than without a shadow there. It draws your eyes to the bridge. The bridge is not centered so it does not look dull.
I think the floor of the bridge is a little too much in the picture. I would like to see what is above the picture. The shadows of the trees should not be in the picture either.
I liked how the shadow was across the bridge. I also saw that the path and trees behind the bridge were included. I think it is important to get a better visual of the area the picture is taken in to get why the photographer took the picture.
